Pencil portraits

Still struggling with how to scan/photograph pencil drawings. Anyone have any tips?
Here I tried Sarah Simblett’s head modeling technique in her book Sketchbook for the Artist. This book has drawings by lots of artists in many different styles, so it’s great to pick up and flip through for inspiration.

Succulents

I’m having a bit of a terrarium moment. Since I kill plants in real life, this will have to do. It might become a cover for my next sketchbook. I don’t usually draw things like this from my imagination, so it was a stretch. How does glass reflect, anyway?
